This is a Speaking Assignment, including a rubric, that ties in with the reading in World English Unit 2’s reading about Annie Griffiths. The students had a week to find a picture to share and prepare their presentations. Even though the students only speak for one minute, it does take some time for the students to come to the front, find their photograph, and do their presentation, so plan on about 5 minutes for each student presentation. For best results for their presentations, the students used the instructor’s computer in the classroom so that their photograph could be projected on the screen as they spoke.
